Progressive Drug Educators

Honest, intelligent, scientifically accurate drug education.

Sheldon Norberg – Director

Progressive Drug Educators was founded by Sheldon Norberg, who coined the term to describe his work over the last decade. As author and performer of Confessions of a Dope Dealer, he has been lauded by the San Francisco Chronicle, American Library Association, the New York Times, New York Magazine, High Times and TRIP, while his Progressive Drug Education lecture series received tremendous response from college activities and drug counseling professionals.

With 20 years of training, practice and study of disciplines ranging from meditation, hypnotherapy, Alternative and Chinese medicine to drug science, history, and sociology, (not to mention careers in illicit drug dealing, medical cannabis dispensary and non-profit arts management), Norberg is profoundly qualified to engage the topic. He presents a depth of information that focuses on step by step understanding of the body’s own mechanisms, our adaption to behavioral neurochemistry, and our use of methodologies to alter our states of consciousness.

After delivering his CASCADE program to 7th and 10th grade classes over the course of 2 years, Norberg became certain that young people could be trusted to make educated decisions about drugs, as long as they were educated! What surprised everyone involved was that they were quite capable of comprehending relatively high level concepts (albeit their having been taught effectively). Teachers, administrators, parents and students were extremely impressed with the program, and Norberg attempted to expand its availability to both public and private schools.
The roadblocks he met with led to the realization that the material could be effectively delivered through the internet, and the founding of PDE to do so.

Norberg is joined in his educational efforts by a growing team of doctors, scientists, researchers, and technicians who are committed to his groundbreaking approach. For an introductory list, please view our proposal. To find out more about Sheldon, go to SheldonNorberg.com
